The Peace & Social Justice Forum/Waldo County will hold a POETRY EVENING to celebrate the poetry of women of color, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 6 pm in the Abbott Room, Belfast Free Library.   We invite all poets and poetry lovers, to choose a poem or 2 to share, written by Indigenous, Black, or a woman of color.  Join local poets and readers who will share work by Audre Lorde, Amanda Gorman, bell hooks, Joy Harjo, June Jordan, Pat Parker and others. The gathering is open for all who wish to share their favorite poems in this celebration of poetry, life, and resilience,  in the midst of winter.  Or come to listen!
